We live in a world where bros tell their tails
Tall as towers about girls sized as whales;
Women, rather, whose courage never flails
On the flat of their penis envy scales.
What is really being weighed in large pails
Is their insecurity, like large grails,
Not holy, but filled with sea men entrails
On ships that are smaller than piggy tails;
A load that shows how humanity fails.

- Comment from author about the poem: Dedicated to all who find themselves in the Mean Male Masculinity Menagerie. Step right up, they’re in full view! This poem was inspired by a very mean and misogynistic comment on a rather ambiguously misogynistic and superficial post by a Facebook fan group called “👑Selena Gomez 👑”, showing the talented singer’s different body sizes in 2015 vs. 2025. It just happened to randomly pop up on my feed. Disgusting dudes thinking with their dicks rather than their hearts, if they have them, and their brains. I wrote and posted this poem there, under one of the mean comments. Pardon the language, but come the fuck on men. 🙄 Society, we MUST demand better from the media, from social media, from each other, and from ourselves. We have to teach younger boys to be more concerned with displaying this degenerate behavior rather than the language I have to mark as 18+ because we are afraid horny boys can’t handle it. We NEED to do better. We are the reason, dear society, that my and all our daughters live with fear and discrimination. We MUST do better.

Indeed. Thank you. I saw the post and was like, WTF? The post itself should not have been a thing, let alone the comment section. The poem just came from that space and, quite honestly, I haven't gone back to see what, if any, reaction took place. Anywho, NOT ALL MEN are like this, of course, but boy they are the ones who show up at the meals en masse, no? 🤦♂️ And society perpetuates it with relish. This guy won't if he can help it. A noble poem for those that are least likely to read it, a message for those that are deaf to its meaning or intent. No more parents to plant compassion in children's hearts, no more restraint taught. A great poem that is needed to be heard. For the message itself a fave but even more for the creativity in which it was said
Thank you, my friend, for seeing the value of this. Indeed, we are living in a world where things like racism, misogyny and many other things are heading in a bass ackwards direction. No other way to see it, if one has any sort of moral compass and shred of humanity left. Lack of parenting, societal decay and breakdown. All that and more contributing to it. No doubt. But yes, a much wider and deeper discussion needs to be had on all levels...especially the grass roots level. So right to call this out but unlikely those who are guilty will read it, this is a huge area from social media that is telling and grooming young boys and men this is how we should talk to and treat woman and girls, they are growing up thinking this is normal I would also add parent's should be doing more themselves, by setting positive examples, correction when heard or seen and spending time with their kids,so they are not on the net all the time, sad but important write

Alas, what a depiction of manhood! Coming myself from a close-knit family unit with both loving father and no less than six brothers, this slap in the face of such would leave me reeling, except I dabbled in the latter, individuals who thought it worthwhile to measure worth by the size of a certain member and wild tales of the opposite sex. Rendered exceptionally with superb imagery and an intriguing, yet hard-hitting poignancy. Thank you for sharing.
