Returning And Reviving

orchidee

Tune: Heinlien

('Forty days and forty nights')

Psalm 80 v.14-19

*********

Return, O Lord God, look down

On our country, on our town

Behold, visit us, your vine

And bestow graces divine

Your hand has planted us here

In your vineyard, come, draw near

To us, for vine you made strong

For yourself, forgive our wrong

The vine it now burned with fire

We sure in a crisis dire

You look on us, we perish

If destruction is your wish

But have mercy, come, us save

Your Son for us the way pave

To salvation, so shall we

Return to you faithfully

Revive us, and we will call

On your name, and shall not fall

O Lord God, turn us again

We saved by you, Light of men* (*mankind)
