Thomas W Case

Alive
Too young to care
Busy with living loud
Born on the wind, my youth flew by
Quickly.

Unfortunately, my youth also flew by quickly. I think that old age is a long jump before eternal darkness. Is there anyone willing to dispute this fact?

Oh so true. Youth does fly by so fast and you glance back and think, where the hell have those years gone. Great brevity Thomas.

And surrounding that quickness is a youthfulness that is far reaching and enduring. 🙏🏻🕊

in short compact verse, you have described how youth is squandered away.
        beautiful

"Busy with living loud" what an expression!

Youth has a way of being so very transient, adults sometimes telling us, while in our folly, we are either deaf or else too ignorant... and you know what they say: "ignorance is bliss." Beautifully rendered in effective brevity with a pointedly haunting poignancy. Thank you for sharing.
