arqios

Notice of absence from arqios
๐Ÿ•Š ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

time’s a vagabond that
travels along byways
across life's big pond

its ticker's a bicker--
a nagging that's thicker
than freckles on a face

its tocking reminds you
of armless, moustached pirates
that haven't got a clue

This one gives the mind space to wander. Like time itself it is in no hurry yet will not delay. A fun and most puzzling read.

    • arqios

Hope the puzzlement was not a put off! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

Do you prefer the ticking or the tocking of a clock?! lol.

Now that is what was running through my mind the whole time! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

Armless pirates! How are they going to dig for treasure for crying out loud?!

Time is ultimately a human construct. The earth turns without any recognition of it. The stars we see today could have imploded 500 light years ago. Even as I write this I cannot write "outside of time" because it is so embedded in language; yet, what is it really? Is this moment disconnected from every previous moment and from every moment to come? Or do we make a measurement of time to keep ourselves from coming completely unraveled in uncertainty? I believe the latter. We invent time to keep an order of things...because we need that order to survive. Or, it is possible that time is truly real in this plane of existence and if that is the case, the question becomes, what lies beyond time? Either way, the stuff that will keep one up pondering at night. And for that, this gets a fave. Well done, my friend. โฑ๏ธ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ›

The embeddedness of time: how utterly frustrating! Like the mathematical definition of a line but applied to moments.beyond time is perhaps the 90% of our brain capacity that we still have to comfortably tapโ€ฆ even eternity perhaps. Ponder, ponderโ€ฆ. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ•Š

Ponder indeed. I very much appreciate your philosophical mind and soul, my friend! ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ›

Time for me is ticking on this one as I ponder, an enjoyable and entertaining read

Thanks my friend, yesโ€ฆ it keeps time even as we speak๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ•Š

You are very welcome, did you escape the storm?

                  • arqios

Yes indeed, it swerved ever so slightly northward and that changed the dynamic in my area. But that doesnโ€™t bring much relief as others had to take the brunt of its full force. We are still getting things back to normal as a community. Thanks for asking after us. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ•Š

I saw on the news a lot of devastation, the one thing man cannot control nature, take care
