No, I've Not Run Out of Excuses...Yet

Cheeky Missy

...no, you are NOT allowed to use that word. [Boredom]

Tell Me I Shoulda Knowed, Will Ye?

(sonnet #MMMMMMMMMCLXXXI)

Oh! what if NOW I'm hungry? sleep t'avail
Cruel hours with none, shall I eat all from hence,
To find me left sans food? I can't starve, whence,
Enjoy, you silly. Eh? Why's Sunday, frail
As all th'insan'ty, where um, eggrolls hail,
Mixt salads hard in tow? Dunno. I'm thence
Left sniffling as cold season's no pretense,
These sunny hours with chill 'nough to grant bail.
So, heavy cream...Bavar'an Cream Pie'd stir
If only I can find the time to do
That once again. Else I've no use as t'were
For heavy cream, is't? Life's not what you knew,
Yet is, but not your dreams, or else in poor
'Scuse those are nothing. LORD, we wait for You.

...this has been how many months teasing me?

Stop Tempting Me With Mac N Cheese

(sonnet #MMMMMMMMMCLXXXII)

"Four walls to not a prison make--" quoth thence
Whom, eh? Yet how I pine for sight t'avail
Of heavn and all below, these just, sans bail
Beyond, yet out of sight. Have I defense?
Put on the Scriptures, nor 'llow what seems sense
Reign, but the Truth. How choc'late mousse' detail
Seems grand, but--"yes, my dear?" I'll just regale
Me with the thought. I've cake to finish hence.
"...Nor iron bars a cage--" this form as t'were
The thing itself, I found my niche; and blue
Heavns blotted by white, streaky clouds in tour
Mid-morning, what do I now wrestle through
These hours with? E'en if I knew, still bestir
Me to seek Thy face, LORD, and wait on You.

Nice try.

If Only This Could Ransom Me?!

(sonnet #MMMMMMMMMCLXXXIII)

Blue skies, such as heart yearned, clouds thinly veil,
As golden light draws shadows up to fence
The waning hour, its fingers twixt the dense
Yet naked, massy trees all clustered, frail
Still, though framed by the sun, how buds detail
Each limb with hope, their figures in a sense
Lean characters which loom oer all from hence,
As from a novel, if we'd time t'avail.
Yet I've no time to spare, the glimpse in tour
I cherish, frame by pressure. Pass on through
With but a glance, to dredge it up as t'were
Where I have time to think. Is aught we knew
Thus snapshots we'll review once oer, in poor
Reply? Have we no time to live? is't true?!

Hahaha. Excellent choice since I can only proffer the menu, never serving the actual dishes. Thank you very much!

Was beginning to wonder where you’d gone off to 🙏🏻🕊Tristan as well… Thad hasn’t been since the turn of the calendar… I’m sticking with the time zone differences scenario…

My circumstances have long been topsy-turvy, of late so crazily I can hardly keep up, as it were. Yes, we miss dear Thad. Thank you so very much!
