lights up in the dark night sky
yet darkness remains

When it gets lighter, folks say 'The days are getting longer'. But each day is still 24 hours - how are the days getting longer?! heehee.
True story. Now, if they switched that by turning "light" into a compound word such as "daylight"...it wouldn't be an issue! 🤣
Dang! I caught Cynthia perched high overhead ere dawn revealed her lover, knowing she would be at her peak momentarily, forgetting by then to seek her when she truly was. Argh. Thank you for reminding me. Beautifully rendered with excellent imagery and a haunting poignancy. Thank you for sharing.

The late winter moon is one of the finest because indeed like that image when in snowy weather moonlight is the most mysterious lantern there is!
Just last night it was the pink moon, spring moon. I didnt see the moon but full moons are vibrant energies. A lovely write!
