Tune: Galilee
('Jesus calls us o'er the tumult')
Mark 4 v.35-41
********
Jesus and His disciples they
In the evening of the day
Took shipping across Galilee
The lake broad as open sea
There arose a storm of wind great
Waves flowed o'er the ship, their state
Jesus in back of shop asleep
Disciples in troubles deep
They came to Him, did Him awake
Said, Lord, help us on this lake
Do you care not that we perish?
Storem to cease here, this we wish
He arose and rebuked the wind
And the sea it did rescind
At His word, Peace, be still, Silence
Thus the storm did cease from thence
He said, How is it that you are
So fearful, and from faith far?
They did exceedingly fear, said
Who this man, who has us led?
For even the wind and sea they
At His word do Him obey
He the Lord of heaven and earth
We praise Him, give Him His worth
