I swear you seem familiar, I’ve seen similar,
I swear I’ve seen you,
Before, sometime,
You’re a door, hello door,
Welcome back
Oh my gosh, there are so many,
Can’t keep steady,
Freddy staying ready
Losing peace,
I’m losing peace,
Take a walk towards the shop,
Get a drink, before you leave
So I walk, it’s not that far,
But I can’t retreat
Somehow I’m lost,
Can’t find the bloody exit
Look at all the half price sales,
I buy them to obey them
There’s a missing youngster,
Wearing dark, now there’s your news
She’s somehow lost at Tesco,
But she’s mother loving hard to lose
I just passed the tills,
The freaking tills!
I can’t even find a bathroom
Hello door, there’s a door,
Oh my gosh, is that an exit?
It’s not an exit,
It’s a room to… oh my Lord!
I will find,
I’ll get out with time
Walk towards the front,
And ask a nice worker,
Avoid the scary man
Who works in the reception
Jesus, I’m trapped here,
I might as well move in here
Maybe I can get a discount,
Some money off my petrol
I should have gone to the Co-Op,
Or maybe I should have waited,
But at least the price of waiting is cheaper here than anyone I’ve dated
Just stand still,
If it moves you will
Alert the forest edge, that a gorilla just escaped,
But why is he wearing clothes?
Oh wait…
It’s a man…
I can’t escape,
No, I can’t navigate
You need a map and bag,
You need the expertise,
For I can’t see beyond
That god-damn sign, what’s it say?
Oh, “All that’s here is free!”
Wait until I get out!
…That’s if I get out,
I swear I’ll break down the door
I won’t curse,
I’ll say worse,
I’ll say something that’s envisioned,
That’s to be decided -
But it will be harsh
‘Cause understandably I am,
Insert an immersive emotion…
But now I’m a mother loving threat
Oh my god, I didn’t even make it through the front door!

I've had that feeling when I've been shopping in large malls and worse lost my young children in them for more than an hour while i and security looked for them. Can be disorienting and frightening. Loved the poem
Thank you so much. We’ve all been there. This is a lighthearted take on getting lost in the supermarket, I get lost all of the time. Thank you for reading.
