Just sitting in the quiet place thinking,
Just thinking of my life throughout the years,
Such a wonderful time which is shrinking,
But my future does not hold any fears.
Each thought I have brings me wonderful joy,
Such beautiful times brought to me each day,
Each day that I did so much so enjoy,
Showing me how to move in the right way.
I thought of the joy of music in life,
That brought such wonderful memories passed,
Which never ever brought me any strife,
But which moved by so very, very fast.
I think back to seventy five,
And think blimey that’s fifty years ago!
Have for all that time have I been alive,
And think of course, and I have more to go.

- Comment from author about the poem: I just saw this on FaceBook "I was just sitting minding my own business then all opf a sudden 1975 was fifty years ago!" and it brought these words to me. The John Denver song was in the charts on this day 50 years ago.

It’s crazy to be able to think of memories in half century blocks, even in quarters! 🙏🏻🕊️
When you listen to music is when you realise time has gone by, it takes you straight back to when you first heard it, makes the mind a TARDIS, enjoyed the read
So true Tobani, music can take us back to some wonderful times. Thank you.
