Wanting something you will probably never get back

Nicole Pritchard

Is the most hurtful feeling ever imagined

A pain that cuts deep, a wound that's unexplained

That heart is completely shattered, broken and worn

By things that can't be fixed, a damage that's born

Time is only left with an empty hole

Where love and laughter once filled the soul

Nothing can fill the void in your heart

No amount of apologies can fix what's torn apart

Just time and hope, a glimmer of light

That maybe one day, the pain won't feel so tight

No amount of tears can fix the void

The pain is too unbearable, the heart can't be employed

Time is all that's left, to heal and to mend

To fill the empty hole, where love once did descend

So we wait and hope, for a brighter day

When the pain will subside, and love will find its way

Certain pains leave holes that take time to heal and more time for love to return. A well worded poem

very fluent rhyming schemes. and use of many different words. i think it is a very great poem

Some pains just ease and never go away, we just learn to deal with them, but as they ease space will be freed to love again. Nicely expressed and written
