Just_my_poetic_side

What is this? A pain lingering within me. They say time heals, but it betrays. They don’t get it, time prolongs pain’s sway. I want it to end but it’s proof that feeling remains. For forgetfulness I crave, but I yearn for the memory that stays

How do I escape a past when it made the future so bright? Haunted by whispers of love’s faded ways, how do I love when the label “friend” is a daunting light?

This poem is a dialectic with opposites clashing to reveal the truth. A Ying and Yang where disillusion is resolution. Well said.

A very touching write, where exact opposites cause confusion in the mind, nicely expressed and written

Writing was the only way to escape the confusion for a moment๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

I will disagree, time doesn't so much heal as cover the gaping crater eventually with enough sand you half think it no longer exists. But try to walk across as if the crater's truly gone, and the quicksand swallows you in a heartbeat, proving the pain is dampened, but the wound not entirely gone. Now you shall learn not to be so carefree with the label "friend," sadly wincing at it, while more slowly accepting yet with inherent distrust the next soul. Beautifully rendered with excellent imagery and a deeply haunting poignancy. Thank you for sharing.

Your exemple shows just how superficial the supposed solution is, just like that last step into the sand, a single thought can destroy every attempt of \"moving on\". Thank you for reading!

You're welcome. I merely speak from my own experience. Thank you for your kindly reception.
