Is The Window Open in Moscow.
For some people the clamour for peace is persistent.
For other people the desire for peace is non-existent.
I will do as I please is there one and only golden rule.
If you believe anything different you are a wishful fool.
Personal agendas and power is the name of the game.
If you are not one of them, you cannot play the game.
There is a solution possibly could bring around peace.
Stop the constant rivers of blood soaking the streets.
I have never been an advocate of any type of killing.
Thou for some that thought is a little more tempting.
Because for as long these people breathe in our air.
There is no guarantee ever of lasting peace anywhere.
Could they leave one of those famous windows open.
The ones that are generally used for Putin’s opposition.
Then take Putin there so he can overlook old Moscow.
So, he can view the empire he is so desperate to grow.
Then with a pat on the back and a tender gentle shove.
He would receive the same fate as his opposition does.
Maybe then things can go back to how they used to be.
Ukraine can stop counting their dead on every street.
They can return and rebuild a country so proud and free.
Where the nation could feel safe when it goes to sleep.
It is more than likely unrealistic wishful thinking from me.
But at this point I think anything is worth a try for peace.

That might be one possible solution but most likely another would just take his place. I don't believe that peace can be found until our DNA of violence is changed. Good poem Tobani

Great, though-provoking poem! Those in power are replaced by those seeking power. An ugly, vicious, and unending reality that plagues not only Russia, but everywhere. The day we eliminate power as something to be had is the day we attain peace; and sadly, I do not see that happening this side of Revelation, per my beliefs...or never per others. But that is the sad reality as I see it. With that said, we MUST strive for peace and you leave us brilliantly there with that call: "It is more than likely unrealistic wishful thinking from me. / But at this point I think anything is worth a try for peace." Indeed, trying is far better than giving up and becoming a part of the problem. Hear hear! Excellent poem, my friend! 🌹👏

Beautifully written. And you are right, it is wishful thinking. But wouldn't it be great if billions of people around the world would take your poem to heart and stand up against the few that cause and create all this death and sorrow!

Defenestration a very local solution but certainly worth a try if the right defenestrator can be found and given solid guarantees with respect to their future health and welfare…
