A Day to Remember

daisydoo

Jumping off the bus, a stomach full of butterflies

Why? I wasn’t sure

I had gone and met him so many times

But my stomach still raged with nerves

Running down to the shops, our meeting spot.

Ending up in the rain together, me in the soaked dress, him in the wet tracksuit

Our laughter bellowed through the streets as we ran to your flat, chinese in hand.

After we ate, we cuddled in your bed, to maintain heat, of course

And maintained the heat was, lying in bed until the wretched alarm went off

Putting it back another 30 minutes

I’d face my mothers wrath later,

Now I was content staying here

Young love as cute as a puppy that can latter grow into a faithful loving companion or a mangey brute that bites at the least provocation. Cute and tender full of excitement and alure it holds what all forbidden fruit holds consequences. Great write.
