Trumpet Player

gatiuski

In a darkened room

The somber sounds

Of a dorian scale

Majorly fills the space

And he, in his solitude,

Holds the golden power

That in between these bluish hues

Rumbles violently in my ears

My heart

Thumps to the beat

Of his brassy rush

That so flatly Squeaks

His secrets into my soul

And the Marlboro musk

That I so guilty love

Has me falling deeper

Into this musical hypnosis

The words of the poem echo like the sound of the horns in a hypnotic resonance taking the reader to the end of the piece. Lovely
