nautical compass

Mourgana of the Fey

come walk among the driftwood

where carmine cloud weavers

fleeting flamboyant flickering

oleander opus

lulling light

anemone awareness

someone blew into

the salt

lived utterance

escapes

only the flapping wings

of a bird

A snapshot of the beach. I have been there many times in reality and mind. A most lovely poetic picture cast here. Metaphor of drifting thoughts

I can see that bird, seagull maybe?, barely escaping the swell of the wave. Wonderful oceanic poem, my friend. I can smell the saltwater in this. Brilliantly penned. This easily gets a fave 🀩 from me. And, oh my, welcome to MPS. Very much looking forward to reading more from you, Rian! πŸŒΉπŸ‘

Thank you for the kind words and reflections on this piece Tristan, glad you enjoyed this. Indeed in this case it was a seagull. I saw two huge sea guls fly after my morning walk so I guess this image stayed with me. Have a lovely day!
