until meters of wall stood
and perhaps was impenetrable
but they realized also inescapable
the cost of being safe trapped themselves
and so she watched as the enemies rained in
attacking the perimeter of what she called safe
but those who attacked and those who gave were indistinguishable

A psychological understanding cast in metaphor so well constructed. Line by line brick by brick a poem built that leads to an unacceptable but inevitable ending where none are to be trusted. Without trust one can not tell the truth. Great write a fave
Thank you!
A very clever write brick by brick we try to build relationships and trust, in the end realizing no one can be trusted, enjoyed the read
