socks

lunarchloedip

my sister wears her socks inside-out

says it feels better

i hate socks

i wear tights

or walk around barefoot

but when i do need socks

i borrow hers

i wear them the right way

realise we all do things differently

…what if there is no right way?

when trying to understand another

i take off my socks

and wear them inside-out

feel the discomfort

of unfamiliarity

it feels strange at first

but time moves

and my feet can still dance

there are more important things

than socks

but they allow me to switch perspectives

step into the mind of another

set their spirit free from the fabric

i love my sister.

i hope she continues to wear her socks

inside-out.

Cute and at the same time deeply empathetic. A great message and metaphor. Lovely

A lovely write with a positive message, we should always try to see things from someone else point of view, enjoyed the read
