Driving Dangerously

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

The Sun comes out, people forget how to drive,
It's all fun, until somebody's kid no longer alive.
Watch your speed and stay off the mobile phone,
Looking at apps while speeding, just stay at home.
Started with one pint, then three or five more,
Crashed into a tree, no seatbelt on, at death's door.
Be aware and alert when crossing every white line,
Driving dangerously puts lives at risk all the time.

A great message in this poem. Drink don't drive, drive don't drink. Too many die innocently.

It's a responsibility fewer take seriously than aught. Beautifully rendered with excellent points and tasteful imagery, not to mention a haunting poignancy. Thank you for sharing. Idiots seem to haunt the roadways.
