Bipolar soul

Zephyrschild

I keep waiting for the logic to turn your phrase

The sanity that so often leaps and tumbles, so much farther than the beginning

The inception of your honesty's disarray wanders between hours, minutes, days

I never know which is today's truth

Or, is it some strange variation since we last talked?

Karma trails you like snail slime

Or, is it just me?

Wanting constancy between the hours

You say you are done with him, with them, and that place, and you won't contact them again

Who are you playing, them or me?

I want to believe you, but I find your fickle reality exhausting

From the tips of your painted toes to your bipolar soul

It is time I stepped backwards

Or would that be forwards?

And pay attention to the water swirling around my ankles, And the gentle tug of the rip current

And leave you to your own headless path, sidestepping like a crab

Never reaching the lusciousness of water

Or the wonderful baking warmth of dry sand

I will leave you to you and yours

And if our paths chance to intersect, i will smile and nod and wrap myself deeper within my cloak of protection

Keeping close to my heart, all that I have seen and done and lived

While you remain the same.

Evermore.

This poem is very detailed, it seems to burst open into a new image and a new layer each time like the life of a thousand butterflies. I enjoyed the creativity!

I hear anger, distrust, suspicion, hurt in this write of past relationship. Strong and written with powerful words is shouts its message.
