To Begin

Tayama

In the darkest of the night

When we abandon for us what is right.

What we loath, we embrace

Never dare a glimpse of our face.

Fear of who we know stands behind us as we look into the glass.

Dreading the task

To begin anew in the day.

When we are okay, and our fear is not what we obey.

Yet when the night draws near

And our shallow fear

Consumes our hearts.

And the thought of having to start.

Crushes our soul and rips it apart.

So, we seek what creates tears.

That we believe can wash our fears.

For the one that can save, we have disowned.

So, we go alone.

Into the void of nothingness…

Where the bricks of sin are layered upward to the heavens…

And never shall we venture a glance up…Why?

For we are not worthy.

But we are, and He is not far.

He is already here.

And tonight, maybe the fear will fear Him?

So, I might rest.

And then tomorrow…I can begin.

And to accede I am His…no longer a guest.
