Poems are driven by the life one's liven
Passions in rivers pour under an emotional door
Through a pipe in the brain to a stopped up drain
Feelings in ink fill a paper sink and much more
Out of this caisson to an overflowing basin
Here the drip is slow, although the level is low
Muse's blood on the floor drink deep a sip of gore
Know, life's poems continue to flow

ahaan.. Excellent write-up...
Thank you for the read Dimpy it is most appreciated
I find it therapeutic to write and read. It’s like a piece of art. Created Uniquely by one’s craft of constructing felt experiences that are common to all. Thoughts, feelings, art that flow from the very soul. Well done, Soren.
Indeed for me it is quite therapeutic and that is how I started writing. Thanks so much MD for the read and comment it is always appreciated
Well-constructed, with the trademark middle rhyme. A tribute to poesy. Well done mi amigo
Thank you so much my friend I like that rhyme scheme but don't always use it. Willis used it quite effectively and always admired it but don't pretend to have reached that level. Your kind words are deeply appreciated
Writing is what keeps me slightly connected to the normal world, and has been the only outlet i have ever felt comfortable in saying i feel, loved the read
Thank you for your review Tobani and most kind words of support. Writing is a therapy and flows naturally but sometimes we get wet.
At least you can as wet as you like in writing in the safe knowledge you won't drown
A poem’s intimate history no less!🙏🏻🕊
Thank you Cryptic yes they at times flood and at other drip. They make a mess and are hard to control but they keep coming. Appreciate the read and and words of support.
Most welcome Soren 🙏🏻🕊
Writing has been my life, my saving grace, the way I get to process my inner and outer worlds and connect with others in the world around me. It has been a blessing to me beyond all compare. Well done in expressing that so eloquently, Soren. 🌹👏
Thank you Tristan your words mean a great deal and are deeply appreciated.
You are most welcome, my friend. Truly beautiful!
I needed to read this 3 times to truly appreciate the profound meaning behind your painting, because it resonated with me in 3 different ways. I always strive to uncover the purpose of a painting, and this is the beautiful purpose I discovered in your poem today. The use of 'caisson' and 'basin' serves as powerful metaphors for the poet’s mind and creative well, suggesting a deep reservoir of inspiration. Your poem explores the intrinsic relationship between life experiences and the creation of poetry, revealing how emotions and passions flow like rivers, influencing the poet's work. The imagery of a 'drain' and 'sink' signifies the struggles and challenges of expressing feelings, while the mention of the 'Muse' indicates the source of inspiration. Ultimately, the poem reflects the continuous, often tumultuous, process of translating life's complexities into art. The poem's purpose is to convey the idea that poetry is a vital expression of life’s experiences, and that creating art often involves navigating through deep emotional currents. The poet seeks to articulate the messy, beautiful process of transforming personal turmoil into artistic expression.
Thank you Friendship I am gratified that you picked up on the difference in caisson and basin I was wondering if anyone would. Thank you for your wonderful interpretation
