Tune: Horsley
('There is a green hill far away')
John 19 v.16-22
*******
Jesus given to the people
'Crucify' was their call
He bearing His cross went to place
To die for human race
The place of a skull, so its name
Golgotha be the same
There they crucified Him and two
Thieves put to death there too
Jesus in the midst of them there
Pilate, he did declare
In Hebrew, Greek, Latin, wrote sign
That all could read clear, fine
He wrote, 'Jesus of Nazareth
The King of the Jews,' saith
This sign, and it not altered, for
The words they remained sure
He fulfilling each prophecy
How Scriptures said would be
Obtaining for us salvation
Suffered, died, rose again

A great write for this time of the year Orchi. Well done.
Thank you SB.
A great write highlighting why Good Friday is actually "good". Also, love the alliteration in the title. It rings so perfectly and yet is counter to what one might think of "Golgotha" should they know it. Well done, Orchi! 🌹👏
Thank you T.
You are most welcome, my friend!
Nothing like Calvary’s Love. Good write O🕊️🙏🏻
Thank you A.
Most welcome O🕊🙏🏻
“Good Friday” can be interpreted in a few ways. It is a great day for our salvation, in my mind. Jesus taught, suffered, died, rose and saved many souls.
I hope you have a blessed Easter GPD!
Thank you fellow GPD!
It woz Thursday just gone (yesterday) we had our community management meeting...........................................................
Thanks Dave. Ahh - the days of the week can be a bit involved, with Jewish day running from sunset to sunset. So they start their days by going to bed. So do I - no change there then! lol.
You are a survivalist, Orchi. Easter will not defeat you.
Wishing you a very happy Easter
Thank you PL - you too!
Thank you
Good one Orchi.
Thank you Gold.
