A Poem Illl Write But Hows about May We Marry?

Hollow Enigma

Remember the sound of, Good god y'all
song called war while Edwin Starr roared A call

Gabrielle not the meaning but emotion, a kind of proud declaration
just our hands together. So very soft they make a proclamation

Dam if it isn't poetry to be not is it written
Even now dear my smile trapped is completely smitten

how the hell was a time like tonight invented
not complaining but how does this feel so cemented

I don't know if i'm hopelessly romantic
but your beautiful face never i to take for granted

Timber is falling tree like my fear is the unknown
But right now with you anywhere i'd be happy to roam

So let's end laughing maybe may will work out
You see no mountain i climb up  your name I won't shout

That's a nicely crafted and enjoyable read

Couplets compose this poem with a one line romantic and the other not so much so. It provides a sense of balance to this poem as if logic is paired with emotion. Nicely done

How very sweet. I hope when the intended recipient finally sees this she accepts. Beautifully rendered with a charming poignancy. Thank you for sharing.
