Ahem, Don't Look At Me

Cheeky Missy

...I think.

At Least My Head Didn't Fall Off

(sonnet #MMMMMMMMMCCLXXXIII)

She did not know quite what she was to scale,
Nor I, until her man'ger asked fr'intents
My name; and morning draws the blinds ope hence
Upon a crazy scene, where guess t'avail
We're friends...or what? He puts his stuff sans bail
With mine, and I ne'er knew til I from thence
Grab all to leave: I shall not think. Defense
Is not what you define but, which detail?
Thy mercies new each morning, LORD, we were
All on our ways, but lo, the squad cars do
Not have aught lane, nor use their sirens fer
The mess I ne'er shall see, cuz they pass through
And I go to the wash ere home. Bestir
Aught and the day's young. LORD, save us now too.

...guess so.

Is Thirty Hours Sans Sleep Good?

(sonnet #MMMMMMMMMCCLXXXIV)

I did forget the French toast option, whence
We'd roast potatoes, eggs, and bacon's scale
Of breakfast (me tomato) to avail
Yes, porridge also, and lost time fr'intents
In stupid vid'os, til day's fled ere thence
I'd chance to catch aught sleep, ergo seek bail
And fin'lly. Rain, sweet note whose sheer detail
Assists fair sleepers, falls likeas defense.
I'm not the only one who cashes fer
All that my vacay in each year? Who knew?
Shall we redeem ours like I do in tour
Each year, her too? I shall now sleep through
What's left of Wednesday, fin'lly. LORD, bestir
In us to sing Thy praise and to wait You.

'I think. At least my head...." yeh when on the very rare occasion I think and that doesn't happen, I do feel reassured, and wonder if I should think more often....

As for the rest, I felt very hungry and sleepy after that.

Subtle notes of human need interwoven there.

A hearty breakfast and thirty hours without sleep, I don't know if either one is good for you - haha!. You are a maestro of the sonnet form, not an easy genre to conquer. A most enjoyable read.

              Kind regards,
              Tony.
