Harry’s Easter Egg for Mary.
Harry had saved up to buy Mary the Easter egg of her dreams.
You see chocolate is no longer cheap like it once used to be.
Harry rushed to the shops to buy the best egg he could get.
For just once he would show Mary that he didn't forget.
Beautiful egg chosen Harry was proud when he left the shop.
Even though Harry was choking a bit at how much it cost.
At home Harry wrapped the egg with lots of love and care.
He was hoping that maybe Mary would possibly share.
Egg beautifully wrapped with lots of other chocolates hidden inside.
Now Harry needed to find somewhere safe for the egg to hide.
Harry thought I know I can hide it right underneath our bed.
I will give it to Mary in the morning with her scrambled eggs.
Harry was proud as punch with himself for the rest of the night.
Convinced this time Mary would think this time he had got it right.
At night time they both got in bed, stretched out laid back and relaxed.
Out of nowhere there was a loud cracking noise and then the bed collapsed.

You're welcome, my friend.
What a cracking end to Harry's best laid plans. An Easter to remember, indeed. A joy to read and then some.
Kind regards,
Tony.
