Tune: Lancashire

('The day of resurrection')

John 21 v.1-14 parts

********

Jeus appeared to seven

Disciples, fishing then

At sea of Tiberias

There did He speak, Jesus

Said, Have you caught anything?

No, they said, none to bring

Jesus said, Cast net on right

Side of ship, fish to sight

So they did, and fish many

There they did catch, so be

On land there was made ready

Food for to eat freely

Jesus said, bring of the fish you

Have caught, and it was true

Their net was full, not broken

And they did marvel then

Come and eat, He to them said

Christ risen from the dead

They asked Him not, Who are you?

For they knew Him there true

This the third time He did show

Himself to them, for so

Once with Thomas, once without

Now they all sure, no doubt

Another great hymn of a good bible story. Well done Orchi

It's a bit not, misleading, but strange. I've omitted a bit where on the lakeside there is a fire burning and cooking of some fish already, before the great catch of fish in the net!

As they say Orchi less is more.

It seems as if back then they ate mostly fish and bread. Some wine sometimes. Simple yet wonderful.

            Nicely done!

Thank you JM. I was there - they chucked me out, cos I wanted expensive salmon! lol.

Been reflecting a bit on Jesus' beach breakfast with his disciples. Makes sense given the time we're in...and yet, I find this to be divinely timed, for me at least! Thanks for sharing Orchi! Well done, my friend! 🌹👏

Thank you T. I can't eat cooked breakfasts. Never have done, and not planning to start now! lol.

That would've made an interesting exchange with Jesus. "Thanks, but you can keep it pal." 🤣 Well, fair enough, Orchi. I've never been one for fish. Except Fish-n-chips...but c'mon, battered and fried anything tastes great! LOL! So, that makes two of us, sitting on the sidelines watching folks chow down! 🤣

                  Good one Orchi.
