I close my eyes and you are dead
on opening them
you are right there in front of me
like a ghost from a previous life?
and in every corner
you are sitting on the fig tree bold as brass
and in the dark muddy tunnels
with the groundhogs
you are flashing before me
when I blink
you are alive when my eyes are wide open
but when I close them
you are dead.

A sad write about people that are sorry enough to have such anger, greed, or envy to cause harm to others. I feel sorry for them. Good write
Thank you dearest sorrenbarret for your wonderful and very well observed review , I'm truly sick of the in-fighting amongst poets and I'm sick of the innocent being called out for writing beautiful poetry that is completely innocence of vulgarity towards fellow poets.
Those whom want to churn the mill on comments or in private messages will always win against the lesser strength but I am here simply for my love of reading and writing. 🌹
I don't understand such people. I'm in my eighties, and believe the world is better when a kinder place. I enjoyed your composition.
Thank you dear Thoughtless, very thoughtful of you to come by here and say. Far to often I see hate on these sites, those who are vulnerable usually get picked out, and if they take the bait can make such a platform so very unpleasant for all. Take care Sir, and thank you. 🌹
Wow. Powerful work, sweet Teddy.
Thank you dearest Thomas 🌹
Fine words Teddy, I agree with what soren has said, causing harm to others is not the way to go.
Andy
I agree with him too, he is a truly wonderful poet on this sight, and I don't quite know why he is being singles out, he is the most kind of people and his poetry is truly marvelous. Thank you Andy. 🌹
