All day long, we inhabit our caves
Shut up inside throughout our days
Much of our life is passed in this way
far too long, we've had our phones
Now it's so easy to be alone;
It's been this way for as long as I've known.
Maybe I just romanticize the past,
But if I lived when life wasn't so fast
I think I'd have been a bit more relaxed.
Before FOMO was a thing,
Before cringe like Skibidi,
Before IRL was a necessary phrase
Before we wasted hours in a brainrot daze
Maybe I would've discovered poetry earlier on;
Maybe I'd have published a book, written a song
This generation is an experiment, what's gone wrong?
i'm chronically online /
is this is a sign /
we need to get with the times /
blur machine and mind /

A poem of the rapid change in technology and its effects on society and people. Well done in verse as well.
