Prayer & Last Message

Maplespal

Prayer

Let me be your prayer, I come from the sky,
follow me and I won't let your hope come to die.
Come and believe in the worldly things I say,
I am the only presence that comes this day.

Come leave all your gems and precious stones,
then leave my side and go stand by your phones.
There will be a message sent to each one of you,
filled with lies and you will think them true.

Don't worry of or question the words that I send,
all your reasons to pray have come to an end.
Believe in and return to this one from the sky,
each week bring offerings and get told some lies.

Let me be your prayer, a miracles lost son,
give all your precious riches to just this one.
Believe in misguided lies of hopes waiting noose,
please be careful and wear the rope loose.

Last message

It's one more night till this ends,
hours ahead watching for little lights.
This may be the last message I send,
we lost a lot in that last fight.

Ammo is running low, grenades are gone,
bodies all around our guarding site.
It's hours till the break of dawn,
just trying to survive the night.

Tell her I went out shooting and cried,
with images of her in each fallen tear.
If it comes in the morning I have died,
pass that message to my loves ear.

The first brings images of organized religion and its motivation power and worldly wealth the second a resignation to death and a lingering message to those left behind. Very nice
