10Ks, half marathons and full ones,
I used to love all of that cardio tons.
Smashing my feet on concrete streets,
But I'm still one of those fitness freaks.
Watching what I eat, starting to get older,
Although my running days are now over.
Sprint on the treadmill every so often,
40 plus years old but I'm not stoppin'

A great poem of what the body grows accustomed to and how it depends upon what it is used to. Nicely written as a metaphor it applies to all things in life.
Indeed, thank you, too old now haha.
Indeed, we may slow down a bit, but no stopping! Well done, friend! 🌹👏
Cheers!
Good write SM.
Cheers!
way to go my friend - i have never participated in a marathon - and now, as a senior, any walk above an hour seems like a major marathon
here's wishing you reach the goal you are aiming for
