Whispers of the Night

Whispers of the Night

The stars awake in silent gleam,
A world adrift in twilight’s dream.
Moonlight spills on rivers wide,
Silver threads the rolling tide.

Soft winds hum a melody low,
As midnight’s secrets start to grow.
Echoes dance in misty air,
Carrying wishes whispered fair.

The trees sway in knowing grace,
Their roots deep in time’s embrace.
Every leaf, a tale untold,
Of love and sorrow ages old.

Footsteps fade on empty streets,
Where hearts once raced with hurried beats.
Memories linger, shadows bright,
Flickering sparks in endless night.

Dew-kissed petals shyly bloom,
Perfumed sighs dispel the gloom.
Lanterns glow with golden hue,
A gentle call for dawn anew.

The night, a canvas painted deep,
Where thoughts like stars may softly keep.
A fleeting hush, a lover’s sigh,
Before the sun ignites the sky.
