I may be a Christian

Tony36

 I may be a Christian

But I'm not perfect

I have shortcomings

I have failings

I have a darkside and a temper

I may be a Christian

But I'm not perfect

I get angry

I have a bad mood sometimes

I may be a Christian

But I'm not perfect

And you know what

That's alright

That's ok

God's not done with me yet

I still have a long way to go

Before I get to Heaven

So I may be a Christian

But don't accept perfection

It ain't going to happen

"Christian is not the definition of what perfect means"! Often, people confuse worldly mistakes for Heavenly ones.

Remember that song from the 80's, "...He's still workin' on me/To make me what I aughta be/It took six days to make the moon and sun/--" or have I mentioned that too many times? Beautifully rendered with excellent points and a charming poignancy. Thank you for sharing.
