Interpretations

John Prophet

Interpretations.
Manifestations.
Reflections.
Reflections
of understanding.
Comprehension
of infinity.
Cloistered
in a tiny
place.
Encased
in immensity.
Mind boggling
immensity.
Stories.
Grand buildings.
Scaffolding
attempts
to explain
what can
not be
explained.
Humanity
as constituted
best efforts.
Holding
together
civilization.
Providing
stability
to grand
uncertainty.
Global
religions.
Cathedrals
to the
great
unknown.

A mind provoking read prompting the question of why do we worship what we can not understand? Well done John

    • John Prophet

We worship out of fear of the void. I wonder, if we were immortal would we still worship?
      Thank you for reading.

That is a thought that never occurred to me. In all my readings of various religions and interest in the subject I had never thought of that.

Now that is mind tingler, makes me think why do people worship what they do not really understand, and what is the need for worship, enjoyed the read

Fine words John, will we ever understand?

It reads like a state of mind filling an inner void without fact or reason, en masse, that is, in the power of belief beneath the grand Cathedrals of religion. A mighty poem that begs many questions.

        All the best,
        Tony
