All the techniques
All the strategies
No delivery
From limitations
Cravings and aversions
If my car broke down
I'd be acting like a clown
To try and fix it myself
Leave it in the hands
Of the mechanic
They work the magic

oh the blind trust that is thrust upon us these days! Back in the day of carburettors, we could do a lot on our driveway before ever needing to go to the garage. 🙏🏻🕊️
Well, some of us could! Mechanical things are not my strong point. Thanks for dropping by.
Most welcome 🕊🙏🏻
On today's cars wouldn't know where to begin, cannot tinker like we used to, enjoyed the read
I never tinkered with them! However, driving them was a different story. It seems technology is simply making things more complex!
A great metaphor here. Knowing one's limitations is critical in knowing what to turn over to those that are trained. A wonderful write.
For sure. Especially when it comes to the Big Mechanic!
Powerful metaphor. Divinely true. Well done! Bravo! 🌹👏
If there was no Big Mechanic then it'd be all over for me!
For me too!
Hahaha! Well, I cannot but love this pretty number. Nor shall I enquire about your other half. But it was only a few hours ago I was reciting to my best friend the warning they'd given me in my youth, namely, [seeing my father was perpetually under the hood of his car, van, whatever, at junk yards for parts and in my adulthood buying vehicles to refurbish, not to mention tinkering with any device since his childhood, knowing how to repair and etc.] that girls whose daddys fixed cars were bound to marry boys who couldn't use a wrench to save their lives. I shivered at that. Okay, enough of cheeky me. Beautifully rendered with excellent imagery and a delightful poignancy. Thank you for sharing.
Haha indeed! I prefer working with organic things like bodies, minds and (recently) plants. I appreciate machines, but if I had the opportunity to live in Middle Earth I'd take it in a shot.
