PHOTOGRAPH

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

Its a photograph
I treasure
Curled at edges
Faded slightly
Fingerprinted
Looked at nightly.

I always meant
To get a frame
Keep you trapped
In memorys lane
But somehow I knew
That would not be you.

You wore freedom
As a coat
Defining beauty
Free and bold
Like stars that twinkle
Upon landscape sky
I miss you always
Dampened eye.

    You wore freedom
    As a coat
Such a great line !This is exactly how I feel when I look at a picture of a friend that changed or a loved one that is no longer here in this world! Perfectly written

A lovely write, I like the not framing of the photo, I think when people do that, they are framing what they want to remember not who the person was, enjoyed the read

Sad, nostalgic, a loss well written in most poetic form. Well done
