If You Really Had To Be Alone

ForeverJesus7

Imagine if,
you really were alone.
No one cared,
or ever picked up the phone.
Everyone else had friends,
but not you.
No one knew your house existed,
or even had a clue.
No matter what you did,
no one ever knew.
Would you even go outside,
or would you stay in your room?
Some people feel like this.
Some people are like this.
... but it doesn't have to be this way.
What a friend,
you would have in Jesus,
if you would only pray,
that the Lord would come,
into your heart.
He would be with you every day.
He would keep you,
from being lonely.
He would notice you,
and love you.
... and when you are sleep,
He'd be looking down at you,
from right above you.
If you really had,
to be alone,
I could understand the resistance,
but you don't,
have to be alone.
For Jesus knows your existence.

If you really had to be alone , would you know what to do ?
Would you go buck wild or stay locked inside of you,
Would you reach out to anyone you can think of ,
Or would you stay to yourself and whisper to the past memories of ones that you love ,
If you really had to be alone , how would you cope?
Would you shut yourself off to the world or would you reach out with hope,
If you was really alone - what would you do?

Alone in the darkness of life I now mope
Bereft of companions in my corner I grope
For some semblance of hope and a reason to live
Since misery doesn't kill me I contemplate this....
What does "not lonely" feel like, do you know?
In a crowd of the happy I still am alone;
Ev'ry friend that I cling to, swift casts me off....
If love does exist in this life I must scoff:
For though many protest that they love, why's it thus?
If they are not lying,...pray, where is their love?
Or is there another to whom I must cling?
The One Who us promised that He'll never leave?
In that case perhaps I am not so alone,
In Him I might find I belong and have hope.

Being alone can be quite intimidating. His love and guidance is invigorating. No one knowing a thing about you? Laying down all your burdens at the cross? He knows what to do. You’re never alone with God on your side. In fact with Him comes peace of mind.

You will never be alone as long as I am here,
Regardless of what happened I will forever hold you near,
My love will not fade or ever go away ,
It was just in our cards to part ways ,
God is our constant reminder that love truly exists,
Even if our human ways seem to resist ,
We must follow the path that we’re given and let Jesus lead the way ,
Just know that I’ll always love you and be your friend for the rest of our days

Like a square peg, or a left handed thread, the dread of not fitting, pulled others down, and in all the elation, I was the clown.
The fool that no one wanted to know. I had my day, it was the end of the show.
But hear, I am, never alone.
To know him is to love him, and with love comes fame. Not the kind with fortune, but riches just the same...
To love is to know, that you were loved first...
And freedom is the knowledge, that we are released, from that curse.

  • Comment from author about the poem: When you think that no one loves you; whether you know it or not, Jesus loves you. Call on Him. He cares for you. - And He lifted up His eyes on His disciples, and said: "Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. Blessed are you who are hungry now, for you shall be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh. - Luke 6:20-21 - But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. For you will be repaid at the resurrection of the just. - Luke 14:13-14 - Persistence is key

I guess I missed the deadline for participating. The submissions are excellent! Thank you for inviting me.

I don't think it was the deadline, at least not this time. It was the 6-stanza limit. Once 6 stanzas have been submitted the form bars any further submissions.

Ah, I see... thank you again for the invite!

Oh man I missed this and I do apologize for missing this.

I will say that I could never survive alone. PERIOD! I want some company and comfort from interacting with a fellow human being. Now in particular I would prefer a person of the opposite sex. Like a blonde haired, blue eyed woman or a red hair green eyed woman. Either way to at least have some sort of comfort by at the very least some companionship or a lover of the opposite sex (maybe).

        • ForeverJesus7

That does sound like a good person to be alone with: a blond haired blue eyed woman or a red hair green eyed woman.

          • AwHec8

Yeah, for me (personally it is) as I was once married to a red haired, blue eyed woman.
            So LOL 😂 again Yeah.
