If you desire to own the moon,
will that ever come true?
If it could, then it's not only for you Because the whole world shares only one moon.
If the moon isn't there,
Will something take its place either?
So whatever is worldly isn't for you,
And the moon is yours and not only ours.

What a beautiful thought and yet such a poignant question in a world full of greed and illusion of ownership. We own nothing ownership such a strange thought where once people thought they owned other people as slaves, now no longer accepted. Where people thought they owned land that belongs to no one. Today people rob, connive, and murder for wealth that belongs to no one. Even love that is free people lie, impersonate and kill over. No one owns a heart, a soul, a grain of sand it is there if we share but no one takes it with them when they are gone. A fave

I see the moon here is a metaphor for owning the impossible dream. Some wisdom is sprinkled on the argument by saying even if you were to possess the impossible you would have to share it. This made me think
