Even by My River I see it,
The beauty of nature
Despoiled by the rubbish
That others discard.
It lays by My River’s side,
Or worse floats in it!
Why are people so uncaring
For the beauty of nature
That surrounds them.
This society in which we live
Cares nothing for nature,
Or life,
As long as there is money in it
The rubbish will be thrown out,
Into the atmosphere it goes,
Enveloped in the hot
Carbon rich air
From their lying mouths,
To destroy our world.
One day there will be nothing there!
Life on earth will have gone!
All because of the rubbish
Both spoken and discarded
Into our world.

Very important issues in this write, fly tipping round my way is a serious issue, blighting the environment and destroying nature and its inhabitants, nicely expressed write
Thank you Tobani for your understanding words.
Andy
You are very welcome
Oh Andy, that is so sad and infuriating at the same time. I’ve seen rivers resurrected from the dead and ones that get dredged periodically (Seine?) a very awful business.
True words arqios, thank you.
Andy
A sad state of affairs in that people are one species that ruins their own habitat and don't seem to care. A beast of filth we live in our own refuse. A sad situation and a good alert in this short poem nicely written.
Very true soren, homo sapiens is an uncaring being on this earth.

It is a shame when a beautiful spot is spoiled.Especially when there is no need to. Maybe the council will do a cleanup? Let's hope
Very true David, thank you,
Andy
The only time I've ever seen such pure beauty in the air and on the streets was when we were all.locked behind our doors 2020 🌹
So very true Teddy, nobody learned from that though.

Good write Gold. I add to the rubbish at times in me spoken or written words! lol.
Thanks Orchi.
Powerful and heartfelt. It highlights the damage we do to nature through both our actions and our indifference. The imagery is strong, and the message is clear — we need to care more before it’s too late. Well written!!!
Thank you Salvia, yes we do need to care more for our world.
Andy
