Come To Me Before Winter

ForeverJesus7

My love,

Do your best to come to me before Winter.

That is almost seven months away.

I know.

Still... Time will quickly pass.

So get your affairs in order.

Do what you need to do.

Then get here quickly.

Soon it will be Summer,

and then Fall will follow soon after.

By then the weather will not permit you to see me.

Please my love,

Do not procrastinate.

It will be just the two of us,

at the cottage, in the woods, by the lake.

It will be just the two of us.

Then when the brisk Autumn air blows,

we will warm each other by the fireplace,

and we will bring in the Winter together.

Just come to me before Winter.

If you miss this opportunity,

we will not be able to see each other again,

for a long time.

  • Comment from author about the poem: In the end, she came to him. - I had written a piece similar to this a long time ago. I hope you enjoyed it. The title of this piece is actually taken from 2 Timothy 4:21, although the piece has absolutely nothing to do with the scripture itself. Persistence is key

A lovely write of an invitation and plea to a loved one to visit before the weather takes hold, nicely expressed and written

Now we can only look forward. I suppose now this piece is written for anyone else. Be that as it may: we will see and be with eachother again soon. The memories will be with us forever. ... like what I did with the twizzlers. (Inside joke... Sorry... I had to put that)

This has the feel of another era past and carries with that feel of age. Most lovely
