...but do you, dear reader?
I Know Which Day Tis
(sonnet #MMMMMMMMMCCCLXIX)
Hot cocoa in the wee hours cuz t'avail
It's cold; and Wednesday's coleslaw, pulled pork thence
Jack Daniel's whiskey'd tinge my fare from hence,
(As I could not eat that ere bed to scale)
The hoagie roll a mess of all sans bail,
And distant traffic's voice where silence'd fence
The calm, the Scriptures for a thought of whence,
Guess t'will be dawn ere we know. Which detail?
How morning is a golden dream as t'were,
With chill set off by sunny shafts and blue
Skies. Craft just porridge, after cleaning; stir
Naught else but cottage cheese, and we're good to
A lunch of naan with cheddar, onion, fer
Bite, with tzatziki and pastrami too.

M'hm.
It's Called "Don't Look Now, But--"
(sonnet #MMMMMMMMMCCCLXX)
Craft shortbread on the last cool day fr'intents
Of Summer, is't? We'll have naan t'avail
With olives and some stir-fry? Nah. The trail
To yonder's loaded, so add smoothies dense
With old bananas, strawb'rries, cream for sense,
And lie back early ev'ning to watch frail
Sweet golden minutes subtly pass; detail
Lines in my head, to be called back in, whence?
Scrap dreams of fin'lly sleeping for a tour
Of duty where the cold my brother knew
Is now mine to choke on. If that is poor,
The "Polar" seltzer is quite tasty. Do
Is't math? She'd pressed me lo, this morning, her
Is't math? She'd pressed me lo, this morning, her
Plea like a "heads up." LORD, I wait on You.

Hahaha.
Once Upon [That Restaurant's Name]
(sonnet #MMMMMMMMMCCCLXXI)
Th'east blushes like a virgin where the veil
Begins to warm, last night a mem'ry hence
Put off as all old nightmares are, a sense
Of promise in the hope of dawn, t'avail,
Whilst frost is promised to touch aught detail
Meantime, ere sunrise, and how that eye thence
Peers into mine as I head home fr'intents,
The traffic bad, yet half okay, like bail.
Change to me ain clothes; start the wash in tour;
Put on the kettle, and let Barry's brew:
Oh shortbread! Tea'd eclipse aught 'fore as t'were.
And how the shortbread melts in my mouth too!
Do thus Thy mercies new each morn bestir,
Oh LORD? Fill my mouth with Thy praise, of You.

M'hm, definitely.
The Breakthrough Only Dreams Knew
(sonnet #MMMMMMMMMCCCLXXII)
Oh, dreams, prayrs, second guesses, madness thence?
First, goodie! Pull a double to avail,
Tomorrow. Then, our breakfast served, derail
Aught cuz work 'gain today. Where shadows' dense
Forms divvy up green lawns in fashion, whence?
Look on the nigh pastoral note; detail
Leaves glowing in heavn's eye, the light half frail
Yet golden, as how traffic roars past hence.
The card'nal called and played, yes, sparrows too,
And now the ev'ning seems calm, few astir,
Oh! Skies look warmly blue, air chill anew,
A sense of peace upon these vistas, poor
Though traffic's bustle yonder, all as t'were
Seems waiting, LORD, as ever, on but You.

...we're poets and poetesses.
Oh This, Yes, THIS is Why
(sonnet #MMMMMMMMMCCCLXXIII)
Ah, how the goldfinch laugh in evning's pale
Yet golden light, where shadows stretch from hence
Their lengths across this quiet view, a sense
Of calm in tow, and fun at that t'avail
Where night begins to swallow aught detail,
Hark to the plover's cries, and rest fr'intents
Within the LORD's great mercies, our defense.
Lights indoors burning now the sun would fail.
Tree silhouettes wait sans a voice as t'were,
And sunwashed buildings likewise stand 'neath blue
Skies sans a murmur. Goldfinch flirt in tour
Through aught with laughter; distant cars too,
Race on the highway as if none demur,
And LORD, I thank Thee for Thy mercies 'new.

Oh my three top things these days: dreams, poetry, and laughter! perfect trifecta๐๐ป๐๏ธ
Aww, thank you, thank you, thank you! You're too sweet and don't we love our "calling"?!
Love it or hate it we are compelled by it!๐๏ธ๐๐ป
Break the ice with food and keep the mood with some throughout. Another fun read
