Shadow World

John Prophet

Shadow
world.
Real
enough
yet
incomplete.
Shadow
inhabitants.
Shadow
minds.
Perfectly
designed
for shadow
life,
understanding.
Nothing more.
Limited.
Focused
on a
wall.
Stuck
to a
limited
realm.
All that
can be
understood
on that
wall.
Eternal
shadows
cascading
indefinitely.
Infinitely.
Slices
of the
whole.
All that
can be
known.
Slice after
slice
unique.
Yet,
disconnected.
Merely
shadows
on a
cave wall.
Limited.

As long as there is light in your life John your shadow will always be with you.

How nicely done a blend of past reality with present images of what no longer exists in physical form only in painted shadows of a being that once existed. Passing shadows are we not all that? A haunting read. A fave
