Surgery
A flurry of emotions surround such a word
Time and date Tuesday
A ticking timebomb
tic, tic, tic
until the day arrives
Surgery Tuesday
A chaotic rollercoaster of emotions
Up, down, spin, zag, and zip
Surgery Tuesday
A waterfall of pouring emotional dread
A heart pounding intense psychological warfare
Just wanting it done and over with
And back on the road to recovery
Surgery Tuesday
Tonight will be the last night I will sleep in my own bed for a while
Going to KC tomorrow
9am Tuesday I have an MRI
The later in the afternoon the Surgery itself
Surgery tomorrow
I accept the cards life has dealt me
Life is like a game of poker
Sometimes you win
Sometimes you lose
But you can never cheat the house
I just want this over with
And on the road to recovery
Surgery today
SHIT!!!!

Yeah , I imagine that’s scary .. hope your recovering well then
I know it’s not the same thing but I have to have few teeth taken out in a few weeks
It’s always a relief when things have been done
Thank you
Tony a tense write that I feel and my thoughts are with you wishing you a speedy recovery
THank you
Hope you are doing okay, mate. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Thank you
Considering the conditions you were under when writing this, it is a wonderful write. I sincerely hope you are the road to beating the house, take care
Thank you
You are very welcome
Holy shit Tony. For real. Cannot imagine how that even feels, not for brain surgery. Sure, had a meniscus repair and anything can technically happen, but man, I can only imagine the weight you were carrying. I am just thankful you are here on this side of it to share. Well done, brother! ❤️🩹🌹
Thank you
You are most welcome, Tony!
That's raw - it's the weeks before which really are difficult. Once I go through the hospital doors, all worry disappears. I'm no longer my responsibility. I very much hope it is the same for you.
l wish you well my friend.
Thank you
I have been there and done that and almost bleed to death. It is a horrible thing to have surgery, Lets hope it all goes well.Scary poem for me
Thank you
How timely for me. While this one is likely not as serious as yours, and even after many previous, this one scares me. Many are successful but some are not, I seem to lean towards the some. Good work here.
Thank you
