Music's Grace Sonnet.

Goldfinch60

Our voices rang out to those before us

Filling the church with the sound of our songs

The notes coming from our hearts without fuss

Bringing music out to where it belongs

While echoes danced upon the ancient walls,

The holy space embraced our melodies.

Through every chord, the soul of memory calls,

Uniting past and present harmonies.

So let this music be our timeless gift,

A bridge across the chasm of the years.

With every song, the bonds of life uplift,

And soothe old wounds with echoes of our tears.

Bringing peace and love to all in this space,

Filling each heart of all with music’s grace.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This was the first concert our choir performed with our new Music Director and pianist, it was glorious. The music in the video is one of the pieces that we sang, it is not our choir though though we sang it very well, i sang the solo to start "Do you hear the people sing" at 6.50 in the video
