You relax in a car,
though you don't know the driver.
You relax on a ship,
though the captain is a stranger to you.
You relax on a train,
though you've never seen the one who drives it.
You relax on a plane,
though you've never met the pilot.
You relax in a restaurant,
without knowing the chef.
You relax with people,
not knowing they can change like chameleons.
You relax in your bed,
not knowing you will see tommorow.
So now, why is it
that you trust for everything
for people, for travel
but struggle to trust God?
The one who holds it all.
So begin relaxing now,
Because God is in control.

Funny, huh?! What a common conundrum beautifully laid out with the haunting answer in conclusion begging a reply. I suspect the answer lies in what is and what is unseen. And what we fail to realize is that "...in Him we live, and move, and have our being--" so why were we...? Beautifully rendered with excellent imagery and a verily haunting poignancy. Thank you for sharing. I'm learning.
A poem of logic and faith. Well written.
