I'm Not Sure THAT'S Correct

Cheeky Missy

*sigh*

Oh, Once Upon A Time

(sonnet #MMMMMMMMMCDXXXV)

I've watched the lights come on, and now pink'd hail
Upon the East in muted strains as hence
The goldfinch sweetly chatters lo, fr'intents
How they go out ere dawn at length unveil
New day; the murky note hot Summer's trail
Knows too well owns these heavns which lack from thence
Aught feature, region clouds' sheer blank suspense
Flirts through are all, where light sifts in, t'avail.
French toast with bacon, mand'rine ornge, and were
There no excuse or aught--I do love to
Drink coffee: cold. Tis yummy. Tea cup fer
My portion, and's delicious, frankly. Stew
Or fry a goulash of odd bits in tour
For lunch, with pizza, salad. How 'bout you?

...it truly is the thought that counts.

I Cherish Lonely Cafes, Do I?

(sonnet #MMMMMMMMMCDXXXVI)

It is a British clothing comp'ny, whence
Wish I made more is't? and could now avail
Me of their style. And yet I did, the tale
Of minis, mini dresses I loved hence
On hangers in my closet. Oh pretense!
I'm too fat now t'enjoy them, that detail
Half calling to me sans hope of dear bail,
Til I kin dream as erst, without defense.
Tis raining...likeas Summer's wont in tour:
Light rain to yield more moisture. Shafts pierce through,
The golden touch as Midas' in as t'were
A twinkling, all restored yet better, to
Effect. Oh life! Race home for what, in poor
'Scuse?! Save me, LORD, restore me too, won't You?

Beautiful images again that bring a feeling of peace accompanied with the delight of comforting food. Very inviting

I really enjoyed the second sonnet. The way it sounded got the emotion beautifully across to me, and though I'll probably never experience that personally, I feel like I just lived that sonnet. Beautiful work!
