A Backyard Full Of Pineapples

ForeverJesus7

I planted my first one,

about ten years ago.

I had know idea it would take,

two and a half years to grow.

... but I'm learning as I go,

and I'm better than I was,

ten years ago.

Sometimes I still,

buy them from the store,

but the ones from my backyard,

is so much sweeter though.

If anything, it teaches you patience.

I, literally, reap what I sow.

Again... I, literally, enjoy,

the fruits of my labor,

as my knowledge of pineapples,

continues to grow.

Thankfully, they're low maintenance.

It doesn't really take much:

just water, sun, and weed and bug spray,

but most importantly,

it needs the Lord's touch.

A beautiful metaphor in this poem as we all grow in our own garden. Most lovely

Thanks, but it is not actually a metaphor. I physically grow pineapples in my backyard. Persistence is key
