“Still Waters Stirred”
The silence struck like lightning through the vein,
A bolt beneath the temple’s ordered tide—
Yet from the slackened mouth and tethered brain
A pulse of will refused to sink or hide.
O stroke! You thief that halts the tongue mid-song,
You shook but did not shatter. In your rage
I found the fire to grip my breath, grow strong,
And write again upon a stammered page.
For though the body stumbles in the wake,
The spirit learns to dance a slower tune;
In dawnlight now, each step I dare to take
Becomes a psalm against a dark monsoon.

Good write A.
Ah, thanks Oππ»ποΈ
Your poem explores the theme of resilience in the face of silence and adversity. It suggests that even when faced with overwhelming challenges that threaten to silence one's voice and spirit, there remains an inner strength that drives one to create and express oneself.
Thanks for that insightful comment, dear Friendship πποΈ
Such a hard read knowing many that have suffered them. Well explained from an internal view the difficulty dealing with one. Everything slows but the will continues. So nicely written my friend
My friend, this hits with real forceβ¦ that moment where the body falters but the will refuses to bowβ¦ that is powerful. You catch the fight to keep movingβ¦ keep writingβ¦ keep being. Beautiful work. πΉπ€ππ―οΈπ¦ββ¬
