Lonely Spring

accross_world_with_u

I had to let go of your cold hand,

I hate the white sheet cover,

Your warm smile will never greet me again,

Time has stopped, with you one more day, one more hour!

Asleep, I’m still calling out your name,

If there’s the other side, why there’s no answer?

Life without you will never be the same,

I’m like a broken music box without its dancer!

Warm spring day, you no longer care,

Favorite colors are no longer bright,

With loneliness and pain I’m left to bear.

Your absence cloaks my heart in endless night.

Your scent still lingers on the clothes you wore,

I trace your handwriting, each faded line.

If I follow, will you meet me at the door?

Shattered memories of you, in fragments I enshrine.

A very sad but well written poem that has feeling in its rhyme and near rhyme that make it human in its nearness to perfection. Heartfelt in its images well painted. A fave
