I do return sometimes... occasionally...

I don’t mind a poem about a tree -
I don’t want a lecture on poetry.
However I must insist that’s just me.
So carry on anyway, just feel free;
Freedom of expression is the bulwark of a healthy democracy..

Damn no lecture then. That's ok Dave I don't like lectures either and hate being told what to do. Seems like poetry is the only place I can (freely?) express myself. Fun read Dave

No lectures is good, for me its an outlet to express myself and feelings in a safe environment, enjoyed today's offering

Oh, I quite like the mischievous shrug in your poem—half declaration, half escape hatch. It rolls its eyes at poetic pretension while winking slyly at the reader.

Indeed. Feel free! Love this, Dave! Now, for that poem about a 🌳...🤣. Nobody really likes being lectured, so I presume many people are going to relate to this sentiment. I certainly did! Freedom of expression is the way to go. What I don't get isn''t meant for me, but it is meant for somebody...even if only for the creator. But I have yet to see the lonely creator scenario really play out. Someone always finds value in another's art. Anywho, there I go with a damn lecture. So...ehem...Well done, sir! 🌹👏
