Thank you

This is for those

Who never return home

Except for in a casket

This is for those

Who do make it home

But are forever wounded

Mentally

Physically

Emotionally

This is for those

Who never make it home at all

P.O.W

M.I.A

Prisoner of war

Missing in action

This is for those

Who gave everything their country asked of them

And when there was nothing left

Still continued to give

Risking their lives

Physically

Mentally

Emotionally

Risking pure insanity

Fighting for freedom

Fighting for justice

Fighting for peace

Thank you

For the risks you’ve taken

So this country could be free

Thank you

For the sacrifices you’ve made

Thank you

For the message itself a fave. A poem of gratitude to those that gave the last measure that we may live as we do. My great grandfather served, my grandfather served, my father served, my uncles served, my cousin served and I am grateful to them all as well as all others that put their life on the line for what they believe.
